Families, we invite you to support your students next week so that they can do their very best on the test! Check out the following test-taking tips from Regal the Eagle!

Tip #1: The night before, PREPARE! Remind yourself that you are ready to do your best. Go to bed on time and get a good night’s sleep!
Tip #2: In the morning before school, eat a healthy, filling breakfast and wear comfortable clothing!
Tip #3: Bring a book --or two! -- to read when you finish your test. You will need to be respectful and quiet if you finish before your classmates.
Tip #4: Feeling nervous? No problem! Take slow, relaxing breaths. If you need to take a mini brain break, count backwards from 10 then BLAST OFF to the next question!
Tip #5: Set yourself up for success! Tell yourself: “I am prepared for this test.” “I have worked hard and I am ready!” “No matter how I do, I am really proud of all my hard work this year.” YOU‘VE GOT THIS!
Tip #6: When testing, follow directions carefully. Read each question & all the possible answers before making your best choice.
Tip #7: When testing, use the embedded tools to help figure out the best answer. If you are unsure of an answer, give it your best guess.
