Mountain View Elementary is proud to announce that it has been rated a 4-star school under the Nevada School Performance Framework (NSPF), as released by the Nevada Department of Education. This rating places Mountain View among the higher performing public schools in the state, recognizing excellence in academic achievement and school accountability.

The 2024–2025 NSPF star ratings are published by the Nevada Department of Education’s Office of Assessment, Data, and Accountability Management. According to the state’s accountability system, a 4-star rating reflects strong performance across multiple measures, including student proficiency, growth, equity, and school climate.

“We are thrilled by this recognition,” said Cynthia Etchemendy, Principal of Mountain View Elementary. “This 4-star rating is a direct result of the dedication and hard work of our students, teachers, staff, and families. It reaffirms that when we all pull together with high expectations, great things happen for our students.” Superintendent CJ Anderson added, Mountain View Elementary made a remarkable jump, improving by two stars to reach a four-star rating.”

The staff at Mountain View Elementary is exceptionally proud of the phenomenal job that students have done to earn this recognition, and plan to leverage this momentum to further enrich instruction, strengthen a supportive community, and continue to raise student outcomes.
